BIO

Love and a .38 is not to be trusted. This four piece hard rock band from Los Angeles has given rock- starved fans something to get excited about. They've crafted a sound that is both familiar yet fresh, blending growling guitars with catchy, emotionally powered vocals. Fueled by instinct and driven by desire, they have written songs that fans from across the rock spectrum can get behind.

As Darren Rose (98.7FM) put it, "Love and a .38 embraces the fact that they are an independent band". Born out of a love for music, the band is no stranger to hard work behind the scenes. They have been dubbed by various industry figures as 'the hardest working current band from Los Angeles'. Their social media interaction is second to none, which continues to generate a global mass of not just followers, but dedicated fans that find themselves interacting with band members on a daily basis. In an age of instant gratification, you have to not simply adapt to change, you have to embrace and lead the change. This effort is noted by Love and a .38's recently conceived 'Single Of The Month', in which the band is writing, recording and releasing a new song every month. It is this type of forward conceptualizing combined with endless writing and self sufficiency that can only catapult the band beyond the horizon.

With devoted fans on five different continents, the band has been featured in film, radio and television. Music Connection Magazine recently called them one of the 'Hot 100' bands of the year, the world famous Roxy Theatre called them one of their 'Top 20' acts of the year. The band's first album release, produced by Ian MacGregor (The All American Rejects, The Ataris, Miranda Cosgrove), has gained in excess of 1 million online plays, and is at worldwide sales of 20,000 as an independent artist. The band released its first music video to their single 'Rock N Lola', which gained over 35,000 views in only a few months, as well as a spot on regular rotation at Hard Rock Cafe's everywhere. Their self titled album can be heard in various films, NASCAR, and is currently on regular rotation at numerous stations on terrestrial, satellite, and internet radio.

Love and a.38 has shared the stage with bands from across the music spectrum, including Tom Morello, Matt and Kim, Camp Freddy, Macklemore and many more. They've recently played a series of exclusive showcases at South By SouthWest (SXSW) in Austin,TX, completed two West Coast tours, a Midwest tour, and took part at The Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) as a featured band alongside Marilyn Manson, The Offspring, Bad Religion and many more. The band is currently writing and recording their first full length album, due out later this year.
